Unit cost vs target price

Duty and fees$
Fulfillment / shipping to customer$
Landed cost$
Retail price$30 to 40
Wholesale price to venues$

Common rule of thumb: keep landed cost at or under 20 to 25% of retail, so wholesale (often around half of retail) still leaves margin.

landed cost ≈ 22%your margin on wholesaleretailer margin
At $30 retail
landed cost target ≈ $6.00 to 7.50
At $40 retail
landed cost target ≈ $8.00 to 10.00
